Dana Vysokaya

Lawyer Business Support · Criminal Defence · IP Registration
Overview
§ i

Dana Vysokaya has practised law for more than ten years, the majority of that period spent advising businesses on the full range of legal questions that arise in the course of ordinary commercial operations in Russia — and on the less ordinary questions that arise when those operations attract the attention of regulators, counterparties, or the criminal justice system.

At Vetrov & Partners, Dana works across three of the firm's practice areas. In the business support practice, she manages the ongoing legal requirements of the firm's retained clients: contract drafting and review, employment law compliance, corporate procedures, debt recovery, regulatory engagement, and the coordination of responses to government inspections. In the business crime defence practice, she assists individuals and corporate officers facing criminal investigations arising from commercial activity — from the earliest stages of an enquiry through to formal proceedings. In the IP practice, she handles patent registration, trademark filing and monitoring, copyright documentation, and licensing support for domestic and foreign rights holders.

The breadth of her practice is a consequence of the firm's structure. In a team of fifteen specialists, a lawyer who handles only one type of work is a luxury that the firm's client base does not require. What the client base does require is a lawyer who understands the business well enough to see where a contractual question is becoming a regulatory question, where a debt recovery is heading towards an insolvency, and where a commercial dispute is developing criminal dimensions. That is what Dana does.
